Moscow, 1977–1979

A Time to Remember in Moscow is the third of three interconnected novels. It follows John Lockwood, the former CIA officer of A Time to Love in Tehran and A Time to Forget in East Berlin, into the Soviet Union in the last years of the 1970s.

The trail that began in Iran in 1974, and continued under a new name in East Berlin in 1975–1976, leads to Moscow. What he has been tracking since Tehran is still ahead of him. What he has lost is still behind him.

Read as a whole, the trilogy moves from the Garden of Eden, to the Great Flood, to Redemption. Tehran is the garden. East Berlin is the flood. Moscow is the reckoning.
